Learn about your rights and the steps you can take to plan for your future and protect your property, possessions, and loved ones.

At this event, DC residents will have the opportunity to complete on-site intake and may be paired with a lawyer at no cost from a participating organization—based on interests, need, and other eligibility criteria.

Topics will include:

  • Estate planning – what it means and how it can help you plan for the future;

  • Probate and legal processes following the loss of a loved one;

  • Reverse mortgages and protecting real property from foreclosure and tax sales;

  • Whether your property may be eligible for a property tax reduction; and

  • Who holds the title for YOUR home.

This free event is open to DC residents, with priority given to residents of the Hill East neighborhood. Food will be provided.
